The functions of the Vario Ped 2-75 are perfectly matched to the requirements of studio and OB daily life. The Crab & Steer function makes the pedestal versatile, easy to use, soft and the precise “on-air” runs are naturally. The pedestal can be dismantled into dolly, column and handwheel for easy transportation and the Quickfix connection allows the rapid assembly of the fluid head.

The Sachtler 5201 2-75 Vario Pedestal is suited for modern broadcast cameras and offers OB and studio packages. The compact, modular construction of these pedestals achieves maximum stability at a relatively low weight. This pedestal is very user friendly offering a Vario dolly and a Quickfix fitting for fast and easy setups without screws.

Steering

The crab-and-steer function enables simple maneuvering with defined rolling turns. A small steering wheel is available and can even be used with a teleprompter.

Quickfix

A column lock and Sachtler Quickfix mount are offered for fast changes of the fluid head.

Air Charging

This pedestal offers safe air charging with pressure relief valves. The air charging feature saves on fluid pneumatic costs and can be done with a hand pump or compressor.

Vario Dolly

The Vario dolly works well for applications concerning narrow passage and portability.
