The FSI Solutions XMP550 55″ QD-OLED 4K HDR Mastering Monitor provides comprehensive color accuracy and precise image processing for post-production professionals. A QD-OLED panel individually renders illuminance and color per pixel for advanced picture quality and power efficiency when compared to traditional OLED or LCD screens. QD-OLED Technology
The XMP550 uses a QD-OLED panel for reference-quality monitoring. Its 2000 cd/m² brightness and 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio promote deep and legible images with rich and useful details. QD-OLED panels feature additive color emittance, thus preventing brightness limitations when producing a large range of hues for HDR demands. Perhaps most importantly, the XMP550’s QD-OLED screen uses per pixel luminance control for more precise image rendering. Independent dimming of each LED module allows the monitor to properly display the whitest whites beset upon the deepest blacks. Colorists and editors will also benefit from the wide viewing angle which enables comfortable monitoring with minimal image distortion or color shift.
Comprehensive Color Controls
FSI’s custom color gamut completely covers many industry color profiles, with up to 90% coverage of Rec2020. The XMP550 also supports use with the operator’s choice of 3D or 1D LUTs to attain the desired color profile. Built-in Auto Calibration software helps to read these tables and adjust the monitor a wide variety of color management settings. The monitor is also compatible with third party calibration applications for the development and deployment of custom LUTs. Advanced tetrahedral LUT interpolation delivers a higher degree of precision with better on screen performance than simple trilinear LUT processes. Multiple real-time overlays and tools, including markers and exposure checkers, are integrated into the XMP550 to help operators precisely hit their marks.
